Overview

The TVR Griffith 500 is a convertible/cabriolet with 2 doors and a front mounted engine which
supplies its power through the rear wheels. Power is produced by an overhead valve, 5 litre
naturally aspirated 8 cylinder engine, with 2 valves per cylinder that produces power and
torque figures of 340 hp (254 kW) at 5500 rpm and 475 Nm (350 ft-lb) at 4000 rpm
respectively. The engine transfers its power through to the wheels via a Borg Warner T5
speed manual gearbox. The stated kerb weight is 1060 kg. Its maximum speed is 272 km/h
or 169 mph.

This right hand drive convertible (targa and coupé) is a sensational drive with it’s 5 litre Rover
(305cui Buick) V8 engine that produces 340 bhp and just over a ton of curb weight.

The manual 5 speed transmission is a Borg Warner Tremec T5 that shifts very accurately
and directly.

As all TVR it has a tubular chassis and an enforced glas fiber body. This cars chassis has
been recently upgraded with new outriggers that has been done by a TVR Heritage Dealer.
As shown on the pictures the car now stands on the factory optional OZ Racing split rim
wheels.

It is also possible to deliver the car with the original delivered Imola wheels with no extra
charge. Both wheel sets are quite valuable and sought after.
Current mileage is just under 60.000 and the motor is in very good condition.
The car comes with an original booklet and invoices from recent years.

The current owner is a TVR collector and has driven the car on a frequent basis.
Some recent trips were Goodwood Revival and TVR Club events in Europe.
Also the headlights are already set-up for right side driving (EU and USA).
The car has some stone chips and the right hand side door has some light crackles in the
paint.

With no ABS, traction control or other drivers aid this is pure driving as it should be.
Some say it’s the modern day Cobra for a fraction of the money and with under 2.600 units
produced it is a very rare car.
